My 3 Dwarf Peaches

Posted by Allan Paterson on

In winter 2016 we planted 3 dwarf peach trees in the garden we were establishing around our new built home. Because leaf curl is a problem in this area we were vigilant in spraying these bare trees with copper and oil.

Unfortunately at bud burst it become obvious we had a major infestatin of leaf curl. Every infected leaf was removed at bud-burst; we also removed the fruit during the first season.

In winter 2017 we dug Magic Mulch into the area under the trees and continued with copper and oil spraying. To date we have had no further sign of leaf curl, and enjoyed a significant crop of fruit.

The photo of one of the trees was taken on the 12th April 2018
