Sphagnum Moss
(South Island Of New Zealand )

One of the most exciting benefits of green moss is that it absorbs and retains moisture
very quickly as opposed to soaking, like the dried alternative. No waiting time - Ready to Use .


Ideal in pots, tubs, troughs, hanging baskets or underneath plants as you plant them into the garden Green moss is especially good around Citrus plants and other surface rooting plants for moisture retention.

 


 

Coral Moss
(A unique and rare form of lichen)

An attractive addition to floral and garden arrangements. This swamp-habitat species resembles a sponge- like coral growth that is soft and pliable when wet that dries to retain at natural form and appearance.

Coral moss can be reused and also dyed with floral spray. Sold as clumps to fill a box. Coral moss is packed moist and may need re-hydrating before use.

Lichen Encrusted Rocks 
(A wonderful attraction in Bonsai displays and Garden settings)

These are air-plants and absorb their nutrients and life giving moisture through the upper portion of the plant. The roots are mainly a means of attachment to the surface of the granite rock. They are various sizes and support unusual upright strands of rubbery like growth, which respond to regular misting with water.

 

This attraction adds vibrancy to many situations: 

  • Moss gardens

  • Around rock pools
  • Pot plants or as a living focal point on a window-sill or bathroom shelf.

New Zealand Alpine Tree Moss
(weymouthia mollis)

A member of the Bromeliad family, renown for its ability to refresh and clean surrounding air through its unique photosynthesis properties.

This species is of the air plant family (not requiring conventional ground roots) and naturally hangs from branches of beech trees in New Zealands native rain forests. This tree moss lies in misty areas at a high altitude.
Tree moss  creates an attractive addition to floral and potted arrangements when hung and left to fall and dangle as it does in its natural environment.
Suspended from upright floral structures this plant is revived by regular misting with water.
