Reindeer moss is spongy and rubbery when moist, but over time dries to a brittle consistancy.
This growth is a natural fodder for reindeer and elk and has been used by native indians as a medicine to assist in the passing of kidney stones. 
Used for great effect in all floral arrangements.It is very durable and can be reused from one display to another. Just re-moisten to reposition it and  allow it to dry out when in its new position.
A good tip is to use collected rain water as natural bush-species prefer the application of a "soft-water".Reindeer moss can be dyed to suit your requirements.
